1) The Old Royal Naval College:
As one of the original parts of Greenwich University before it became King’s College London back in 1826, this building contains many important historical landmarks inside its walls.
It is now one of the most distinguished buildings in London. Every time I attend one of the college lectures, I am amazed by how magnificent it is.
The building has a very distinctive style and its architecture is top-notch.
The library is really famous for its large number of rare and rare books.
There’s also a museum and art gallery inside there as well as a chapel and theatre. It is an extremely fun place to visit for any history lover!
2) The Chelsea FC Stadium:
As one of the football teams in the Premier League, Chelsea FC are definitely one of the biggest football clubs in England.
Their stadium is actually at their training grounds, which are situated in Fulham, London.
However, they have played some of their home games at the nearby Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea FC are one of the most successful clubs in English football history.
They have won many titles, including three Premier League championships, four FA Cups and two League Cups over the years.
As a huge football fan, I have to say that everything about their stadium is magnificent!
It is located in North West London and it is one of the fanciest stadiums I have ever seen! It has a capacity of 40 000 people and it is owned by Chelsea FC’s parent company.
It is the second biggest stadium in London after Wembley Stadium.
The atmosphere during the football matches is amazing! I really recommend that you go see a game if you’re in London during the football season!
3) The Hayward Gallery:
I’m sure that there are many of you who are art lovers.
You must have heard many things about the Tate Modern Museum, so I’m sure this won’t be too surprising to most of you.
The Hayward Gallery is basically an extension of Tate Modern, but it mostly deals with modern art versus classic art. It houses some very rare contemporary works.
It also hosts different events throughout the year.
It is situated in the Radcliffe Camera building.
This whole building is located within the University of Oxford, so it is really quite unique.
They have some events that are open to the public as well as free exhibitions which are usually fairly expensive.
If you’re a fan of modern art, I highly recommend seeing some of these pieces at the gallery!
4) Greenwich Park:
If you’re into nature, then you have to go see some of the wonders that are located in Greenwich Park!
I have always found beautiful parks to be among some of my favorite places in London.
The park contains many different types of habitats and it’s almost like a second nature reserve for Londoners.
It has many different types of wildlife, ranging from the common squirrel to some rare species.
The park is made up of 5 areas: an ornamental lake, a maze of trees known as the Greenwich Park Woodland, large open spaces that are perfect for sports activities, playgrounds for children and more.
It’s almost like a mini country park within the heart of London.
I highly recommend that you go see some animals or even enjoy some time in their playground during your visit!
5) The National Maritime Museum:
This is something you must experience yourself. It’s almost like a spectacle of the things you can expect to find in a museum!
It is located in the Greenwich District, and just like its name, it focuses on maritime history.
You can really get a sense of what it was like during the Blitz Blitz and how important it was for Britain during World War 2.
There’s also many different exhibitions on display relating to vessels past and present.
It also has some really unique things like the uniform that Admiral Nelson wore during his time as a captain. It is totally free, so it is definitely something you should look into!
These are five things that are unique to London and are not well-known.
The first two are actually located in Oxford University, but they’re still part of London.
I would really suggest you try out some of these places if you ever come to London! I hope you found this article useful!
