The world of digital marketing is evolving at a rapid pace with new tools, systems, and concepts being developed every day.
However, it can be difficult to know where the industry is headed in the near future.
Fortunately for us all, one company has stepped up to offer an exclusive sneak peak at what’s next for digital marketing.
A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to interview one of our industry’s leading innovators
when he came in town for a speaking engagement. I was able to get the inside scoop on the future of digital marketing.
I am excited to get the word out to all of you.
What’s Next for Digital Marketing?
The world of digital marketing is changing fast. If you want to keep up with your industry or get ahead,
you need to educate yourself on what’s new and how it could benefit your campaign.
By staying one step ahead, you can be ready to take advantage of upcoming changes when they happen.
Luckily for us,
one leading resource in the digital marketing industry is staying two steps ahead so they can share their insights with all of us in an exclusive interview.
I was able to ask a few questions about the future of digital marketing to a representative from
a company known for their innovation in the field. Here is what I found out.
What have you seen over your years in the industry that made you want to offer this sneak peak?
I think there are two main factors that have motivated us to conduct this research.
The first is that our company has been growing at a very quick pace,
we want to ensure that we remain on top by staying ahead of trends and developments within the digital marketing industry.
The second reason is simply because we believe it will be beneficial for our clients. We know that as an industry,
we can continue to improve by staying ahead of changes in search and discovery, social media marketing, and other areas.
How has the industry changed over the last five years?
Overall, I think search has been one of the main things that have changed over the last 5 years.
We know that users are using a larger number of search engines to find information online. This is a much faster pace than just a few years ago.
And with this rapid growth in use comes a very quick need to adapt to search algorithms at a faster pace than ever before.
In fact, our research suggests that user behavior around “intent to buy” may involve within 24 hours rather than days or weeks at this point.
How does this affect our industry as a whole?
This can be very beneficial for companies that want to stay relevant.
By staying on top of search engine updates and ensuring an optimally performing site,
you can be ready with your company’s offerings and services when users become “ready to buy” within a 24 hour window.
It is important to note that this information is not absolute and there are many factors involved,
but with the rapid changes we have seen we wanted to share some insight into what might happen in the near future.
What was your most surprising finding from your research?
I think one of the most surprising things we found was how quickly social media marketing seems to be changing.
It used to be that you had to create an account on each major social media platform and wait for it to grow.
Now, with the introduction of new tools like Facebook’s “Instant Articles” users are getting information faster than ever.
We know that if your social media account is not updated regularly, you could lose followers quickly.
What was your most exciting finding from your research?
We are very excited about what we have found in relation to online video.
We now have the ability to easily integrate video into any website or blog without needing any extensive coding knowledge or experience.
More importantly, this may be one of the most effective ways of reaching users in the future.
We found that users are spending more time online than ever before, and they are using video to help make sense of all the information available.
This is why we believe video will be one of the biggest themes in digital marketing over the next few years.
What advice do you have for companies that want to prepare for these changes?Obese Tuber
The first thing is to stay up to date with your industry.
By reading blogs, attending events, and following connections on social media,
you can ensure that you have a good understanding of what’s going on in your industry.
The second thing is to ensure that your website is easy for users to find and navigate.
