I am a self-proclaimed business intelligence developer, but my career has spanned more than 30 years in the industry. I worked first in the advertising world, then as a business intelligence developer for more than two decades. I was fortunate to have a degree in both computer science and business management, as well as some of the best business intelligence skills of my career.
I had a chance to work with the team that developed the B2B software solution suite now known as Business Intelligence Development Studio 2008, or B2B. It’s basically an enterprise grade, business intelligence solution that’s available for all major business decision makers. So if you’re a small business owner, you can use it to run your operations, or if you’re a Fortune 500 company, it’s an extremely useful solution for making strategic business decisions.
In my time at B2B, I was able to build a number of powerful business intelligence tools that are very easy for anyone to use and can be used by anyone in an enterprise setting. The fact that they’re available for free makes it easy to use, and they have a ton of advanced features (including a graphical user interface and advanced data query capabilities) that make business intelligence much easier to use. For those of you that use Microsoft Excel, you can use B2B like crazy.
It’s amazing to me that we have to be so reliant on computers these days. We can all do basic math with our pencil and paper, but for everything else we must rely on computers. And even if we don’t have to rely on computers, we still must use them for data analysis, which becomes a major concern for companies with a lot of data.
Companies that have a lot of data are in trouble. As a matter of fact, in the past three years, the most popular method of collecting and analyzing their data has gone from paper to computers. According to research from IDC (the primary vendor of business intelligence software used by hundreds of Fortune 500 companies), 85% of the Fortune 500 companies use the same reporting software platform, Microsoft Excel.
Excel is a nice tool for creating charts, however, it is not a good tool for analyzing data, as it can’t do much with it. Companies are increasingly relying on business intelligence software platforms that can do a lot with their data, even if they don’t like what they see. One of the newest and hottest in this arena is Dataquest.
Dataquest is a business intelligence platform that is available as a Microsoft Office 365 subscription. It offers a full-featured data-mining tool for data analysis, and is backed by Microsoft partners. It also has a variety of reporting tools for data mining, such as dashboards and reports. Its not free, but its more affordable than its competitors. It is designed to work with Microsoft Office and Google Apps, and it gives you full access to its reporting tools and a lot of other goodies.
It’s also the perfect product for a startup company, because the more data that you extract, the better the business intelligence that you can derive from it. The business intelligence development studio 2008 is a great solution for a small business.
It works with Microsoft Office and Google Apps, so you can access it on your desktop and your mobile device. It has an attractive, slick interface, and it has a lot of the tools we know and love from Microsoft. It works with data from a variety of sources, so you can add your own business intelligence from your web site, social media, or databases.
I am working on a project where we are going to add data from our web site and our database to the business intelligence development studio 2008. So far we are making use of the data we get from our web site and searching for keywords within this data. Then we will add the data to the business intelligence development studio and then we will have a spreadsheet where we can add a lot of different things to the spreadsheet.
