My career has been focused on helping professionals and businesses stay on the right side of the law. In order to do that, I need to be the best in my field. Luckily, I’m getting hired for a position with the Dallas Police Department, which requires me to make it my priority to not only be an excellent officer, but also to be a smart and ethical officer. That means being able to think and act like a seasoned officer, and not letting my emotions get the best of me.
My job description doesn’t include making you feel better about getting your “bellybutton pierced.” It also doesn’t include trying to make you feel like you’re doing your job while not feeling like you’re doing your job. It is the latter that most often gets me into trouble.
The best way I’ve found to ensure you don’t get into trouble is to remind yourself that you’re doing what you’re doing because you have to. Even if you don’t feel like it, the fact that you’re doing it doesn’t change the fact that you’re doing it.
That means you are making a conscious decision to do something, even if you dont feel like it, because it is right and good. In business, that means making a conscious decision to do something that you should be doing anyway.
Director of business intelligence, youre in charge of all of your company’s reports, presentations, and surveys. If you ever want to create an organization where the money is made and the results are seen, you will find that you get some pretty decent work. But there are also some things that you will not be able to do, due to the nature of the job, that you will have to get a job to do.
