For one thing, the dollar store usually sells its shower caddy at a much higher price than the price of the shower caddy itself. For another, many showers require you to remove a shower caddy from the wall, which can be expensive.
I disagree with this. Dollar stores have a long tradition of being a major supplier of the best shower caddies, and I think it is totally reasonable for them to sell their shower caddy at a higher price than its cost. I know you can buy shower caddys at your local drug stores, but I have never been in a dollar store, so I don’t know how this works there.
