dvd storage sleeves are my favorite way to store my DVD collection. They aren’t expensive and they will fit most DVD cases without too much fuss. I also love the fact that they will hold up to the wear and tear of a lifetime of DVD rips.
dvd sleeves can be a difficult task. One of the first things you will want to do is carefully choose a sleeve that will not fall apart or get scratched. These sleeves are also great for storing DVDs that are either too small or too large to fit inside a standard DVD case.
The problem is that you will want to make sure you choose a sleeve that will fit the volume of the DVD that you are storing. This is why most dvd sleeves are made with a special metal that is hard enough to stand up to the wear and tear, but soft enough to not get scratched. For the average user, this means that the sleeve can easily be stretched out to fit more DVDs than it can hold.
If you don’t mind spending a little more, you can get a sleeve that is larger at the same price. That is, if you have a dvd that is over 8.5 inches in length, then the sleeve is going to fit inside your standard dvd drive housing that you would typically get.
Personally, I only use sleeves for my movies. I keep my movies in my car, and I always have some sleeves and plastic sleeves in my bag. They are also great for storing my old dvds. Ive used them for my older dvds, and I can still get the sleeves to make them fit. I also have a few that I never use and keep in my car trunk, and that I keep that way too.
The only way I know to do this is to buy a custom sleeve. These are made from a special type of plastic that actually comes in rolls. The sleeves you receive will be very similar to the standard plastic sleeves that are widely used, just the size. They will have a very nice weight, and will fit your dvd in a standard dvd drive.
I always have a lot of dvds in my vehicle, and I don’t want to have to unpack them, open the case, and find a sleeve that doesn’t fit. Some dvds are so small that I get frustrated with trying to find a sleeve that I can’t even fit in my drive. If you get these sleeves, you get the convenience of them, and the quality of the plastic, and you can get the sleeves for a really great price.
They are made from high-quality plastic, and are really really thick. I like the way they look, and I have no idea if they will work, but they are worth trying. The only reason I don’t recommend them is because they cost $40, and you have to pay shipping.
As far as the quality of the plastic, I have yet to see a product that is this thin and this thick. I get more of a “wish you had this sooner” feeling with the plastic that I have seen in the past. I have seen a few that have been a bit thinner (and a bit thinner than that, but I can’t remember what price range they were).
dvd sleeves are not cheap, but they are well worth the money. Of course, I suppose that you can buy the “bigger” versions and just replace them with a couple of dvd sleeves. This is a bit of a hassle but it is a really good idea.
