When I first started doing this work, I was told that statistics was not necessary. But I soon realized that it was. If you have a lot of data and you know that there will be lots of statistical analysis, then you can use statistics to analyze it. But if you are analyzing a lot of data and you don’t know which of the data you should be analyzing, then statistics is not the tool you should be using.
