I am truly amazed that there are so many families that are willing to give their old furniture to charity. I recently found out that furniture donations at the Atlanta Airport has over $1,000,000 in them, and I am extremely excited about it. Atlanta Airport is one of the most important airports in the country for our community, and it is one that I am really proud of and thankful for.
I love that Atlanta Airport is a hub of community involvement. When I lived there in the 90’s I was working as a volunteer at the airport and helping out the airport volunteers, and I have been there to pick up donations at the airport since. I get a lot of questions from people how they can help out their community, and this is one of the ways that I can do it.
The Atlanta Airport Foundation is a 501(c)3 that operates out of the airport. It’s a non-profit organization that helps the airport by providing scholarships, equipment and services to local and regional organizations. This year the airport is hosting the Airport Foundation’s annual fund drive to help them provide more opportunities for community involvement.
I know a lot of these questions are just “where do I start?” type questions, but they do show how many people are really interested in giving. In this case, I can see the Airport Foundation getting busy with their new grant program. The airport itself will probably make all the difference in our world, and I can see some great opportunities here in Atlanta for community involvement.
The Airport Foundation is known for their efforts to help community organizations in the airport and around the community. What they do is bring in money to help them grow and expand their impact while investing in these organizations. Most of the grants they have are for airport services like baggage handling, security, ticketing, and even airport marketing.
The airport’s community grants are a great way for city’s to support the airport’s mission and not just to generate funding. It also helps to build trust with city leaders.
One of the grants they have is for a new gift bag. It’s a large bag that fits over and under the seat. The bag will hold things like t-shirts, hats, and other goodies that will be donated and given away. The bags are given to the airport community and then given away to airport employees and volunteers.
For example, there is a large bag that goes under your seat that has a bunch of T-shirts in it. A lot of volunteers will come to your desk, pick up a T-shirt, and hand it to you. In turn you can give it to someone else on your team.
This is a very small idea that I think is very awesome, but it may be the only one of its kind that I am aware of. I know of one other company that has a similar idea and they are called “Ink”. I have heard that the idea is to give people the option to create a custom bag that fits into your luggage that is then given to a specific employee.
It sounds awesome, but we’re not sure how it would work. Maybe you could have a custom tote bag that you give to a certain employee, and then someone else could make a custom tote bag that is given to that same employee. But it’s hard to imagine how that could work. It seems to be more of a suggestion from a business partner. I mean, if a company is giving you T-shirts, maybe they could do the same thing.
