Today I am excited to say that my local furniture donations pick up atlanta was a huge success. Thank you to everyone who donated items.
The good folks over at atlanta gift stores donated tons of furniture and they went and got it to me (along with a number of other things) yesterday. The thing that really touched me was that every item was wrapped in bright pink paper. What a great idea. That really makes the whole thing seem so fun and happy.
I mean, I couldn’t be happier to say that our local atlanta gift stores are now out in full force. And if you didn’t know, you’d think I was just joking.
Its hard to imagine that the most common theme in our home would be a bright pink paper theme, but it may be that the decorating trend is in flux. Right now, the most common form of home decoration is the simple white walls, so that means the most popular way to decorate our new house is to just paint the walls. So if some of our existing fixtures are staying, we can probably paint.
There are also some other trends that we’ve noticed right now, as well. One is that there is no theme at all, just a bunch of different colors and patterns that have been randomly chosen. I think that’s a reflection that people are feeling more relaxed, less stressed out. Another is that a lot of our furniture has been used in different stages of construction. So we might be able to go paint those walls now.
If there was ever a time for furniture to be given away, this is it. If we can find a good charity, we can probably find someone to donate it to. We do have one other item that we would like to donate, but is out of our budget right now. If you have any ideas about where to give your furniture, please let us know. The new furniture donations are being delivered in a new truck that was painted by a local artist. The artist is hoping for donations to go toward the new art collection, which is an ongoing effort by the artist and his friends.
