I’ve had this problem as well. In the past I’ve searched for closet rod instructions from the back of the manual, and then spent too much time searching the internet for the correct instructions, drilling the hole, and then screwing the rod into the correct hole. There is a lot of information out there about closet rod, but so much depends on brand and model that it can be difficult to know which instruction is right for your needs.
The drill and screwdriver should be interchangeable, and the washerdryer hose can be made of the same materials. I have found the instructions for the hose not to screw into the wall exactly where you want it to go. The drill and screwdriver should both come with the washerdryer hose. The drill, however, should actually be screwed into the wall.
I have yet to find a closet rod that doesn’t come with instructions that say, “When you tighten the rod at the top it should be tight, but at the bottom you should be able to turn it slightly and not be able to close it off.
I could be wrong here, but I haven’t seen a hose that screws into the wall so you can actually turn it right into your closet. I’ll look for one.
I’m sure everyone will tell you that this is one of the most frustrating problems I’ve ever encountered. The first thing to do is to look in the closet for a tool that will let you do this. You can use the closet rod here to do it, not to open a door. In case your idea of a tool to do this is to get it to go through the door, then you dont need to use a tool at all. Use the closet rod as a tool to open the door.
