I’ve been a fan of this line for years, and the last time I bought jeans was several years ago. This time around, I thought I’d revisit the idea of putting them away, and it was actually the perfect time to revisit something that I’ve been doing for years. I found some really cute storage bins at Michaels, and thought they would be fun to make. They’re so cute, and the bins are huge.
While Ive been meaning to make a whole post about jeans, I also thought I would go ahead and talk about how I made these myself instead of buying them. This project had a lot of parts to it, and even the pants took at least two weeks to make. But the end result is awesome.
I love making things, and jeans, and bags, and I think this is so obvious that I don’t have to say it. I made these myself, and there are no mistakes. The jeans are great. Theyre comfortable, and I could wear them all day.

For instance, Ive had a lot of success with using denim from the same brand to make shirts. Ive used a belt from the same brand as a belt for shirts to make jeans.

I’m always amazed at how many of our jeans have pockets but no zippers, theres a pocket that goes right on the leg but its too small to be very useful. Ive also seen jeans with one of the seams being too tight for the leg, which can also be a great way to make them fit you better. You can also sew a pocket in the crotch which can also be a great way to keep your keys and money in.
