You know you have arrived at your destination if it all seems so peaceful and safe. It doesn’t have to be like that. When life hits a wall, it can feel as though you’re about to plunge into the deepest abyss.
You know you have arrived at your destination when you feel as though you are being watched. Maybe it is just the lights in your head or the sound of your heart beating, but you feel as though someone is watching you. That is what we call the uncanny valley.
A really great example of this is the movie, The Sixth Sense. The film is set in a town called Salem that has a haunted house. We were all told that the house itself was haunted. Then, just months later, it was being torn down. One of the people who was in the house is a woman named Susan. She is the mother of the murdered child, Mary. In the movie, Susan is on the edge of being able to do anything.
The movie opens with her sitting in her living room with her son, Mary. The film then cuts to the house being torn down, revealing Susan to be a part of that. Susan is able to take down a very powerful supernatural being with just a phone call, but in the case of Deathloop she will have to rely entirely on her own powers. This scene also serves to remind us that Susan is really a ghost.
In the real world, Susan’s powers are quite similar to what people call “psychic abilities,” but in Deathloop she gets to use her powers to control the events that happen in her life. The film’s opening scene also shows that Susan’s powers don’t have to be like this. Susan can use her powers to control the events of a particular moment, such as a storm destroying her house.
Well, that is the thing, though. She can’t just control events in her life for all eternity and call it a day. While this is true, I think its also the fact that Susans powers are not tied to her physical body. It’s possible that Susans powers are tied to her mind, but I would think that her mind is just the brain of an old woman.
So yeah, you need to be careful. If Susans powers are tied to her mind, then she has the power to not only cause events to happen, but also to control what happens in the future. It’s not that simple because she’s got to have her mind to get the power into play, but I think it’s a safe bet that she can control events and events can happen without her.
I do think that these abilities could be tied to her physical body, but I doubt Susans powers are tied to her mind. I really don’t know what the connection is, but I don’t think it’s a direct one so its hard to say.
Susans powers are tied to her mind, so it could be she can access her powers through her mind. This could be especially true if they are tied to her head or body.
This is all speculation on my part, but it seems to me that Susans mind could be linked to her brain, which is a little more likely.
