A common question I get asked is “What is your pet rock name?” And for me, that’s an easy one since I have several. I love pet rocks as much as the next person, but I tend to enjoy choosing a new pet rock name every now and then. It gives me an opportunity to think about what I’m going to call my new pet rock.
My current pet rock is a pet rock, but since it keeps getting more and more boring the more I name it, I sometimes just call it “the boring stone.” (I guess I could call it “the boring rock” if there’s no other option.
We like pet rocks. They are adorable, they’re fun, and we like to give them nicknames. We like to get our kids involved in naming their pet rocks too, because they may like the name better than ours.
We like to name things, but names are often just a way of expressing yourself. For instance, if you have a pet rock named “pig,” you’ve just expressed your disdain for animals more clearly than you can with “pig” alone.
I think weve actually been called piggy before. (We know its not a real pet rock) I think it is because we like to say silly things and we do that a lot. Its not a pet name, its just a silly thing that we call it because its silly.
Its just a silly thing you call a pet, but its silly in the same way that we call our pets silly. For instance, sometimes we call our daughter “Stinky” but we don’t mean it that way. We would if we knew we wanted to say it that way, but in the real world we don’t mean it that way.
You might be seeing a trend developing in which the more things a person says to the media, the more likely they end up on the front page of a search engine. The same is true for the pet rock name. People have been using pet rocks in their online communication for ages, and its only recently that pet rock names have become common.
Like most pet rock names, “Stinky” is actually a fairly short and simple one. Its one of those rare pet rock names that has a very specific meaning. It is related to the word “stinky” in the sense that one of the meanings of that word is “to stink.” The most common meaning of “Stinky” is a slang word for a person, and the very popular pet rock name that was released in 2012 has that meaning.
Stinky seems to have a strong correlation with the word stinky itself. A search for “stinkies” in the search engine returns more than one thousand results, with the top-ranking one being a Stinky, which is one of the very popular pet rock names. The same thing is true for the top-ranking pet rock name “Stinky Pig”, one of the very popular pet rock names that became popular in 2012.
I’m pretty sure Stinky was derived from a long-established pet rock slang word. The term Stinky Pig would indicate a person who was “pigish” or “stinky”. Stinky is a slang word for a person and Stinky Pig is a slang word for a person with a pigish personality.
