My own experience has been that while I think I would have a better chance of getting a good job or getting a good job at a decent salary if I were working for someone else, I often forget that I have no idea who those people are. They might be great at their job, but I dont know them and they dont know me. I dont have a clue who my potential clients are, and I dont know what they want from me.
That’s right. When I was working for a company, I didn’t know who the people in my department were, and I didnt care. My job was to write reports, get things done, and make sure everything was properly organized. When I left that job, I felt as though I had completely forgotten what I was supposed to be doing there.
